Dr. Sven-Olaf Vathje heads the Health and Life Sciences Practice at Oliver Wyman in IMEA. 

Over his 20 years of strategy consulting experience, he has worked with clients across a broad range of industries in Europe, the US, and the Middle East. Sven-Olaf’s key areas of focus are health care, asset management, and insurance.

His functional expertise ranges from strategy development and business model innovation to business transformation and implementation.

Sven-Olaf was previously a Partner with The Boston Consulting Group, and he established BCG’s GCC offices in 2006.

Sven-Olaf holds a PhD in economics from the University of Kiel and a Master’s Degree from the University of Tennessee. He is fluent in English and German.
