Heinz is a Partner in the Energy practice and Global Head of Mining & Metals. He has an educational background in biochemistry and 26 years of experience as a management consultant, investment banker, and principal investor, always focused on the mining industry. Heinz has lived in seven countries on four continents and his work has taken him to over fifty countries, where he has worked on a wide range of functional topics.
Having experienced alternative career paths such as science and I-banking, I realized that my true calling is in management consulting. Solving difficult business problems by applying a fact-based approach and the power of teams appeals immensely to me. I also thrived on the entrepreneurial freedom and ability to shape my own career, following my passions.
Heinz joined Oliver Wyman in early 2020 as the leader of our global mining industry team. Based out of our Dubai office, his geographic focus is on Africa and the Middle East, but he also leverages his deep industry expertise to support our mining clients around the world.
